"Giuseppe Penone: The Reflection of Bronze," an exhibition of new work by the artist curated by Adam D. Weinberg, is on view at Gagosian, 555 West 24th Street, New York. The exhibition is rooted in Penone’s late-1960s exploration of trees, which led to his celebrated carved tree works. This video captures the installation of "Un anno di bronzo – Larice" ("A Year of Bronze – Larch") (2024), a sculpture of a tree’s bark in bronze that houses a real living plant.
