In this one, I’m finally back reacting solo! It’s been a minute since I’ve had the chance to just sit down and share my thoughts without interruptions, and I couldn't have picked a better video to dive back into. I’m reacting to the incredible collaboration between Gigi De Lana and Katrina Velarde, as they cover the classic "Eternal Flame" by The Bangles.
I was genuinely surprised by the "acoustic" label—spoiler alert: there are definitely instruments involved! But beyond that, the technical quality of this outdoor recording is absolutely top-notch. I break down the vocal dynamics between Gigi’s beautiful falsetto and Katrina’s natural vibrato, and how they perfectly balance their harmonies and ad-libs.
