NOTE this one doesn't have the fishing icons! But that is mainly just full and new moon. So it's not a full Fishing Gear Watch. But close to it! Has more than I'm used to!

You need the WS-1500H module 3518 — make sure that number is on the box when you exchange it. Same watch, right module, fish icons included.
Honestly? Yes, it's perfectly fine for fishing. You've still got:
Moon phase display — shows full/new/quarter moon which is the core of solunar theory anyway
100m water resistance — bomb proof on the beach
Great looking watch — which matters!
The fishing level icons are a nice gimmick but all they do is combine moon phase + moon position into a simple rating. You can do that yourself just by glancing at the moon phase on the watch and knowing that full moon and new moon = fish are active.
Plenty of experienced anglers just use moon phase and don't bother with the solunar rating at all. Keep it! 🎣
