In this video, I tackle a complete Suzuki GT380 crankshaft rebuild. This classic three-cylinder two-stroke motorcycle engine suffered a major failure when an oil feed blockage caused a center bearing to overheat and spin, severely wearing down the hardened steel shaft.

Watch the step-by-step restoration process, including:
- Splitting a heavy press-fit crankshaft with no keys
- Salvaging a ruined vintage shaft using industrial metal spraying and cylindrical grinding
- Checking the critical 120-degree phasing with a digital readout (DRO)
- Truing the entire assembly down to a tolerance of less than 0.001" runout using a copper hammer.

If you have a vintage motorcycle engine, crankshaft, or carburetor overhaul project in the Adelaide area (or want to ship it over), contact me at mezzmoeng@gmail.com and I'll see what I can do to help you. I'm based in South Australia.
