Final Mainline Runs of Olton Hall (Hogwarts Castle)

Descripción

Looking back to 2014 and the final mainline runs (to date) of ex-GWR Hall locomotive 5972 Olton Hall (Hogwarts Castle), as it worked 2 'Wizards Express' railtours, run and organised by West Coast Railways. These originated from Manchester Victoria and were both destined for York, with 5972 scheduled to haul the trains from Carnforth-York-Hellifield. Unfortunately, the steam leg was curtailed on the second run due to fire risk precautions, from Leeds on the outward leg.

The engine is now on display for the Warner Brothers Studio Tour London - the Making of Harry Potter.
