Description
Fable 5 came back for a short window, so I put it to work on my real business instead of a toy demo.

Most channels test a new model on a game or a toy prompt. I did the opposite. The moment I got access to Fable 5 again I pointed it at myICOR, my actual business, to find the exact moments where an expensive model earns its cost. The future of Fable is API only and pricey, so the real skill is knowing WHEN to reach for it over Opus 4.8 or Sonnet inside Claude Code.
I ran four real jobs with Anthropic's Fable 5: a deep audit of our ICOR Journey courses (mapping the golden thread across every lesson with React Flow), a front-end performance audit, a password reset bug fix, and a full security audit.
The proof moment was the password reset bug. Fable dug one layer deeper than Opus 4.8 and found a more elegant solution. When I had both sessions review each other, Opus conceded that Fable's run was better. Fable is slower, eight minutes versus three for Opus, but it connects the dots holistically, so one Fable prompt can replace many Opus iterations. That is where the return on investment lives: deep, holistic analysis of complex code and knowledge bases.
The bigger point is real world AI that empowers experts to move faster, not replace them. And none of this is locked to one model. It all runs on a local folder and a model agnostic scaffold you can download and use with Claude Code, whatever model you point at it.
