If you want to ride faster without crashing, the answer isn't to keep increasing your speed and hope your skills catch up — that's like trying to bench press 315 your first time in the gym. In this video I break down why you build skill first and add speed second, a rider who went about 100 mph into an off-ramp and failed to negotiate the corner even though the sign warned him, and another rider who blamed a little bit of oil on the road for a crash that was really caused by excessive speed and not knowing how to brake or swerve. I also cover a close call with a pedestrian, why you should ride staggered with cars the same way you would in a group ride, and why anyone riding off-road should carry a satellite or spot device in case they go down where no one can reach them. These are the motorcycle riding mistakes that come down to one thing: matching your speed to your actual skill level. If you want a system that builds that skill in the right order, check out the SMART Rider Motorcycle Training System → https://www.Riding-SMART.com/Motorcycle-Training-System
