Sometimes we hurry on our way to church to attend the service, fulfill the ritual, recite our creed, and give our offering; yet we forget the one we saw suffering along the way. Our eyes fail to see those in need because they are busy counting tiny herbs. Let us remember that mercy is the epicenter of the divine message. Hands stained from helping others are the most beautiful offering to the Lord. True service to God happens at the roadside, not within the safety of church walls!
