Description
The Arizona Game and Fish Department has been working on elk movement studies in Northern Arizona.
The project is complex and involves darting these large animals to temporarily sedate them, then fit them with tracking collars or solar ear tags, before they are released inside the study area.
The study is an effort to assess movement patterns and distribution between units 7 and 9.
