Those little pins on the base of your speedlight or flash transmitter are different for every camera brand. The number and arrangement of the pins corresponds you your camera's hot shoe but does it matter if you get the wrong one? Do you even need them all?
In this live session I'll take a look at why a single pin (unkindly known as "dumb" ) flash or transmitter might be all you need and could save you money. I'll also explain why a dedicated flash might ultimately be the wiser choice.
