Description
D.L. Bliss State Park is back.
After a three-year closure for maintenance, this iconic Tahoe campground and park is finally open. Here’s what you need to know before you visit:
🥾The Rubicon Trail has some of the best views of Lake Tahoe as it meanders 5 miles along the shoreline from the campground to Emerald Bay
⛺There are multiple campgrounds — each is unique! — so you can choose between being nestled in the pine trees or down by the water
🏖️ Lester Beach is ideal for launching a kayak or paddleboard and Calawee Cove is perfect for swimming
🪨 Balancing Rock is short walk to see an impressive geological feat
⛵The Lighthouse Trail takes you to the historic (but not functioning) structure, the 2nd-highest-elevation lighthouse in the United States.
🐻 Watch for bears, which are common in the park, so make sure you’re keeping your food safe
