We all know what it feels like to be left out. To be picked last. So, on this trip to Ghana we wanted to do a little twist for some of the kids we met who needed a sponsor. Instead of having people pick them. We let the kids pick who they wanted to sponsor them.
I got to experience the nervousness of not being picked and the elation of being chosen. That is what the kids who are waiting to be sponsored experience every day. Some kids have been waiting over a year to feel seen, valued and loved.
