Chandi Veeran is a 2015 Indian Tamil-language romantic action film directed by A. Sarkunam and produced by director Bala. The film stars Atharvaa and Anandhi, while Lal, Rajashree, and Bose Venkat essay supporting roles. The music was composed by S. N. Arunagiri with the score composed by Sabesh Murali. The film was released on 7 August 2015.
Story Synopsis
Paari loses his father in childhood while he attempts to stop a violent dispute between two neighboring villages fighting over pond water. Years later, Paari returns from Singapore to find the conflict still unresolved. He falls in love with Thamarai, the daughter of a wealthy village leader who controls the pond and refuses to share water with the neighboring village.
Despite several failed attempts, Paari eventually wins Thamarai’s heart. As their love grows, tensions between the villages intensify over the worsening water crisis. When Thamarai’s father discovers their relationship, he strongly opposes it and continues his stubborn stand against sharing water.
Determined to bring peace, Paari prevents an impending clash between the villages and advocates for unity and compassion. When villagers propose Paari and Thamarai’s marriage, Paari refuses wealth or dowry, asking only that water be supplied to the neighboring village. Though Thamarai’s father agrees to the marriage, he still refuses to release the water.
Choosing principles over personal happiness, Paari and Thamarai postpone their wedding until justice is served. Through intelligence and determination, Paari finally succeeds in ensuring water reaches the neighboring village. Peace is restored, the long-standing conflict ends, and Paari and Thamarai unite in marriage, bringing happiness to both villages.
