Can you use a MAGNET instead of a tubular latch??

Description

Sometimes a door can be too thin for a tubular latch. Normally in that scenario you’d fit a surface mounted rim latch but in this scenario that’s not possible. So today I’m trying an alternative method that I’ve never used before.
