Automobilista 2 continues to impress.
In this video I'm putting the new Formula V8 Gen 1 cars through a full torture test at Imola 2005. Using a 2006-style Formula One grid, the race begins in wet conditions before the circuit gradually dries, forcing both drivers and AI to make crucial strategy decisions.
The goal was simple: push AMS2's dynamic weather, track evolution, AI behaviour, pit strategy and vehicle physics as hard as possible and see where the cracks appear.
Instead, the sim delivered one of the most immersive single-player races I've experienced in recent memory.
From changing grip levels and evolving racing lines to AI drivers making timely tyre changes as conditions improved, AMS2 handled the transition from wet to dry conditions with remarkable realism.
Version 1.6.9.81 continues to show why Automobilista 2 remains one of the most enjoyable racing simulations available today.
