CNC surface finish, burnishing tool, face mill inserts, Ra surface roughness, mirror finish machining — this is the ultimate head-to-head test. We ran brass, 1018 steel, cast iron, and aluminum through every finishing method in the shop: multiple face mills, shell mills, different carbide insert geometries, varying speeds and feeds, and a dedicated burnishing tool, all chasing the lowest Ra number possible. Every single cut is measured and shown on camera so you can see exactly what each tool is capable of.
