The UK's Climate Change Committee says Brits will need to consume 25% less meat and 20% less dairy by 2040 in order to meet the UK's climate targets, despite the UK accounting for less than 1% of global emissions.
In addition to dietary changes, the CCC's roadmap urges households to replace gas boilers with heat pumps and switch to electric vehicles, in spite of the huge upfront costs associated with both measures.
