Iran has reportedly launched another round of missile strikes targeting Jordan's strategic city of Aqaba, with videos circulating online showing thick black smoke rising from the King Hussein International Airport. The reported strike comes after an earlier missile reportedly landed near the airport, raising concerns that the facility has been targeted more than once. Satellite imagery and open-source reports have indicated that the airport has been used to host U.S. military aircraft, including P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft, C-17A Globemaster III, and C-130 transport aircraft, although the extent of any damage remains unconfirmed. The latest escalation comes as Jordan, Kuwait, and Bahrain activated their air defense systems in response to incoming Iranian missiles and drones. Israel has also warned that projectiles launched toward Jordan could threaten its territory.
