Dr Clive Chijioke Nwonka, associate professor of film, culture and society at UCL – discusses his ground breaking book Black Arsenal which explores how the Club’s affinity with Black identity transcends football and spreads across cultures: in the media, music, fashion, politics and everyday social experiences. He is joined by contributor to the book Clive Palmer.
This event took place as part of Football Writing Festival: Arsenal Special – a day of talks, conversations and fun all about the British Library’s ‘local team’, Arsenal FC, currently favourites to win the Premier League. The event was co curated by Harshad Mistry and presented in association with Springboard Pictures.
