Air-raid sirens sounded across Amman as Jordan confronted Iranian missiles entering its airspace for a fourth consecutive day. The Jordanian Armed Forces said four projectiles were detected in the latest attack. Three were intercepted and destroyed, while the fourth fell in a remote part of southern Jordan, causing no reported casualties or material damage. The alert followed a warning from the US Embassy urging American citizens to seek overhead protection and remain indoors. Jordan says it has intercepted repeated missile waves since July 16 as Tehran continues targeting the US-used Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Azraq. Iran insists its campaign is directed at American military facilities rather than Jordan’s population. But with US forces operating inside the kingdom, the expanding confrontation is bringing repeated sirens, emergency warnings and the danger of falling missiles or interceptor debris ever closer to Jordanian cities.
