In this video, I will demonstrate how to make a hinged zipper pocket. For this demonstration, I made a piece that finished at 8″ x 4″. If you need a different size for your project, you will need to modify your zipper length and the size of your pieces (I recommend making a test muslin first if you change the size of the pieces). Here’s the size of each of the pieces that I used:
9″ long #3 zipper
Piece A – 1″ x 4″ (cut Shape Flex 1/2″ x 3-1/2″)
Piece B – 7-1/4″ x 1″ (cut Shape Flex 6-3/4″ x 1/2″)
Piece C – 8-1/4″ x 3-1/4″ (cut Shape Flex 6-1/2″ x 2-3/4″)
Secondary Piece C – 8-1/4″ x 3-1/4″ (cut Shape Flex 6-1/2″ x 2-3/4″)
Piece D – 8″ x 4″
