On 21 April 2026 AZ Celebrated their fifth Dutch Football Cup (KNVB Beker). They won the Cup Final in Rotterdam on 19 April 2026 against NEC Nijmegen with 5-1. This is their first prize in 13 Years. Two days later the celebrations started in Alkmaar, and the Team drove through the city on a Truck driving towards the AFAS Stadium. AZ stands for Alkmaar Zaanstreek.
