Vehicle description:
The AT-FV230 Breaker is a tank destroyer that boasts exceptional frontal armor and a well-balanced gun with a high rate of fire. This combination allows it to maintain constant pressure on the enemy, forcing them to leave their defensive positions. The vehicle's only drawback is its slow speed, but even this can be offset by its experimental mobility-boosting engine system.
Historical reference:
After the FV230 tank project was closed, British engineers had the idea of using its chassis designs to create a tank destroyer. Due to weight reduction, the vehicle's track width was reduced to 800 mm while keeping the remaining suspension and chassis layout. For armament, the designers planned to mount a 123 mm rifled gun. The vehicle was meant to combine excellent protection, good firepower, and decent mobility. However, anti-tank missile systems were prioritized in fighting tanks, and the project was terminated.
