Not all pilots attending EAA AirVenture are flying into Oshkosh.
In Appleton, about 700 extra planes will land and park for the week.
Pilots looking to land next to cornfields can head to the Shiocton Fly-in. Pilots won't necessarily park their plane for the week, but they'll fly in on their way to Oshkosh and grab a fish fry or a pancake breakfast.
Local pilots in Shiocton give about 500 rides throughout the weekend, an experience you won't get at AirVenture.
