spawn is experimenting with solo queue only for Diamond and above in Apex Legends, and while many pros are frustrated, this might actually be one of the healthiest ranked changes we’ve seen.
The reality is that coordinated three-stacks have a massive advantage over solo players. They rank up faster, achieve higher ranks more consistently, and create some of the most frustrating matches in the game.
By removing premade teams at the highest levels, Respawn is trying to create a more even playing field where everyone has to overcome the same challenges.
Will it work? We’ll find out.
But this might be less about pros and more about improving the ranked experience for everyone else.
