In this profound discourse, Param Pujya Gurudev Anandmurti Gurumaa narrates the story of Meera—a princess, then a queen—who had every worldly comfort and wealth, yet whose mind was so completely filled with love for Krishna that nothing else held any meaning. Gurudev describes how Meera's darshan of Shyam Sundar within her own heart would come and go, leaving her in recurring longing and weeping. When Sant Raidass visited her town, he gave her an ektara, saying it would help the strings of her mind connect. Yet, the inner restlessness continued—sometimes darshan came, sometimes it did not—and Meera kept asking why Krishna would not grant His darshan always.
Gurudev narrates that after her husband Rana's death, Meera left the palace, came to Vrindavan, and eventually traveled to Varanasi to see her Guru, Ravidas. Carrying a small Krishna idol pressed to her heart, she asked him how long this alternating state of darshan and its absence would continue. Raidass gave her the knowledge that the One she was limiting to a single form is, in truth, the Parabrahma—the foundation of the entire universe—and is none other than Meera's own self.
Hearing this knowledge, Meera one day entered a profound Nirvikalpa Samadhi in which all duality was destroyed. She remained absorbed for a very long time and eventually set the idol aside. When she emerged from Varanasi, she had become Krishna herself—finally reaching Dwarka, where her physical journey came to its end.
