In a box years ago, I came across an old cassette tape that said "Joey, 4 yrs old" on it. When I showed it to Joey, she said it was a recording of her singing a Christmas song when she was little, while her Dad Jack played his old 12 string guitar. It was something that her mom June used to sing to her kids as Joey was growing up... "
This recording of both' ‘older and younger’ Joey was one of more than a dozen songs that we recorded for our one and only Christmas album for the Vanguard/Sugar Hill labels, but ultimately the song didn’t make the record. And for the most part, this recording has been sitting on a hard-drive, lost for all these years.
