American Encore - American Cruise Lines - Part 5 - Columbia River Cruise

Jim Zim Podcast 15 days ago

Description

This is episode #5 of my video series about cruising down the Columbia River on American Cruise Lines' newest ship, American Encore. This episode focuses on day 6 of my cruise, which we spent in Astoria, Oregon.

In this episode, I visit several points of interest that are located right next to where our ship was docked: The lightship Columbia, and the Columbia River Maritime Museum. It's a great way to learn about "the graveyard of the Pacific"... an area where the Columbia River meets the Pacific Ocean... which has caused many ships to be lost over the years.

This video is brought to you in extremely high quality 4k resolution. Watch it on a big screen for the best picture, and make sure that the video is set to play in 4K resolution. (You'll find that in the settings of your video player.)

The next episode in this series, to be released a week after this one, will be the final episode... covering our trip through the locks at the Bonneville Dam, an excursion to the spectacular waterfall known as Multnomah Falls, our final night aboard the ship, and our departure the next morning. Be sure to subscribe to my channel (it's free) so that YouTube will recommend the next episode as soon as it comes out.
