I got to drive a very green 1959 Ford Country Sedan Wagon at the American Muscle Car Museum in Melbourne, FL.
Before SUVs, minivans, and crossovers, station wagons were the preferred mode of transportation for those with large families. In 1959, Ford production included the 2-door 6-passenger Ranch, 4-door 6-passenger Ranch, 2-door 6 passenger Del Rio, 4-door 9 passenger Country Sedan, 4-door 6 passenger Country Sedan and the Country Squire.
This 1959 Ford Country Sedan Wagon is in a two-door six-passenger configuration. Painted in April Green and Sherwood Green with Green interior. The wagon is powered by a 352 V8 with 300 horsepower and an automatic transmission. It is well optioned, with rare factory air conditioning and window tint. The car has undergone a comprehensive frame-off restoration by well known Ford expert Jerry Miller. This addition makes eight cars he has restored now in the AMCM collection.
