On July 1, 2026, the community gathered at Perrow Park for the America 250 Time Capsule Ceremony to celebrate our nation's upcoming 250th anniversary and to honor the patriots who built our country. The ceremony featured remarks reflecting on Georgia's rich history, including local connections to signers of the Declaration of Independence and the founding of Jasper, GA.
The time capsule, which will remain buried in Perrow Park for the next 50 years, contains a variety of meaningful items from local organizations. See items included below:
