Pope Leo XIV celebrated Mass for the Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed at Rome’s Campo Verano Cemetery on Nov. 2, praying for all those mourning the loss of a loved one, especially victims of war. Reflecting on Jesus’ words, “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted,” the Pope urged those with the power to end conflicts to be moved by the tears of mothers, children, and the elderly, and to silence the weapons.
