I recently dug out my old telephoto lens (Canon 70-300 f4-5.6) and gave it a try on the Sony FX30. The glass itself is far from perfect, but that's exactly what gives it character — it softens the overly clean Sony look, even at f/5.6.
For a moment I thought about upgrading to a Canon 70-200 f/2.8 or even the 28-300, but I realized those would probably give me an image that's too sharp and clinical.
So for now, I'm sticking with this old, cheap lens — sometimes flaws are what make the image feel alive.
Sometimes imperfections are advantages.
By the way, I shot everything handheld — no tripod — just relying on the lens's built-in stabilization and the camera's in-body stabilization.
