Hurstbourne Parkway between Six Mile Lane and Biggin Hill Lane was under water 7/6/2026 after training thundertorms dumped more than 3" of rain over about 90 minutes. Several motorists decided to go for it, and didn't make it. One remained in their vehicle. The flooding occured right as the afternoon rush hour began, causing major backups along the 4 land divided highway. Some motorists impatiently drove across the median to escape, while others are seen turning around with the assistance of Louisville Metro Police, Jeffersontown Police and Jeffersontown Fire Department.
Turn around, don't drown!
