Wit Rigs

In this video, we received a request from a friend in Indonesia. He had purchased what was claimed to be a brand-new Samsung Galaxy A15 from a local market at a high price, but something didn’t feel right during use. To find out the truth, he handed the phone over to us for a teardown and inspection.

What we discovered was surprising — there were clear signs of previous repairs: abnormal solder joints on the motherboard, a non-original battery, and multiple screws that showed signs of being tampered with. All these pointed to one conclusion: this Galaxy A15 was not brand-new, but rather a refurbished device repackaged as new.

We want to take this opportunity to remind everyone: when buying a phone, always choose official or trusted channels — such as brand websites, authorized retailers, or reputable online platforms. While lower prices might be tempting, ending up with a refurbished phone can cost you more in the long run, both in terms of money and potential issues like poor quality, limited warranty, or data security risks.

Also, if you ever need to replace phone parts, we strongly recommend choosing original components. Genuine parts offer better compatibility, stability, and longevity, and help avoid secondary damage or safety hazards caused by low-quality replacements. -witrigs
