Today marks 1 week loc'd &I LOVE THERE 🤪❤️ Whewwww Yah is shaping & molding me inside & out! I'm so grateful for his corrections. Being obedient to him is not always easy but it's always worth it!

I prayed awhile back asking him to reveal any idols I had in my life. To my surprise wigs/ weaves were one of a few [the rest I will be discussing as well on the list! He showed me how wearing hair from another woman, specifically hair that has been sacrificed to false gods changed the way I thought about myself! By covering the glory Yah gifted me with [1 Corinthians 11:13-15], with hair in a covenant with a false god, I allowed the very vanity, pride, ego & trauma into my life that these women were ridding themselves of!
What started Off as a protective style turned into me completely. neglecting my natural hair. I had completely lost interest in caring for my hair. I would leave my hair in braids untouched underneath wigs for months at a time! This caused severe damage to my hair & scalp which lead to me feeling uncomfortable/ insecure without having some type of weave/ wig on. It's not a coincidence that a lot of us women feel this way! Or feeling like our natural hair is "childish", not as pretty or acceptable as a bussdown, or can't be worn with certain outfits or worn to certain places/ space! These are all LIES from the pits of hell that the enemy wants us to believe but, The Lord tells us exactly who we are in his word!
& I know someone is reading this saying "girl it's not that deep", it is! If the thought of not wearing a wig/weave, makeup, lashes, nails, (fill in the blank) out in public seems impossible to you or "you could never" I encourage you to take it to the feet of Yesusha! [Matthew 6:33] He will never lead you in the wrong direction! I know changes like this can feel scary but remember Yahweh does not give us the spirit of fear but of power, & of love, & of a sound mind |2 Timothy 1:71! The more I grow deeper in my relationship with Christ the more the veil of sin and deception is lifted from my eyes! & I pray the same for you reading this 🥰
So with all of this being said I'm saying goodbye to trying to fit into what society says is beautiful & loving me just the way my Abba made me! & On top of me starting this new journey I will also be closing my wig business. I haven't spoken publicly about this yet you're seeing it here 1st]. So yeahhhhh this journey is teaching me more than self love, it's also increasing my faith! So to my sisters that are struggling or scared to start this loc journey or wear your natural hair in general just do it! You are beautiful just the way he made you! Ask him to help you see yourself the way he see you and watch what happens 🤭🫶🏽🥰
