(Please Read) → RDR2 V vs RDR! I been trying to get this video up for a long time. I have said before that I'm a college student and I don't have as much time as I used to. However, I tried to finish and upload this video last week and my PS3 stopped functioning. So, I had to switch to an Xbox 360 and buy the game again. The long wait is over and here it is.
Spoilers! There is some spoiler, but nothing that big. Only some parts from missions.
0:05 Gameplay: I enjoy both games. I used to play RDR a lot and one of the reason was because of the gameplay. Same as RDR2, I spent many hours just in gameplay and free-roaming. Although, RDR2 might have a few more functions that allows to expand the gameplay experience. As for RDR, it took a different turn when I recorded that part. I didn't expect it to go that long. They never stopped coming!
3:15 Fighting: There wasn't a lot to compared them both with. I still added this category into the video just to give you a few different content in the video. RDR2 simply i better and only because of different combat animations. One example is when the character threw the NPC into the table.
6:19 Mini-Games: I actually prefer RDR because of the variety of mini-games RDR2 has better gameplay mechanics for the mini-games.
11:10 Hunting: RDR2 does it better! The amount of different animals you can hunt and the animations when you are skinning them.
14:47 Horse: Red Dead Redemption is one of the games with the best horse mechanics ever. In RDR2 they improved and added some new animations and functions. One of those functions is that you are able to move sideways with your horse.
16:50 Graphics: We can all agree that the graphics in RDR2 is better and that's a fact. However, I don't compare games to show you which one has better graphics or better mechanics. I make this videos to show you how have the newer game improved or added some newer features. In this case, RDR2 has improved a lot in just a few years and I consider it to be one of the best looking games ever.
19:29 Weapons: I stated in the video that not all weapons are in the video. In this part I show you normal and rapid firing of these weapons. This is for you to see the animations and hear the difference of the weapons. Also, I know using the weapons on animals was probably a better way of comparing these weapons, but the problem is that it would have taken too long. Trying to find an animal every time I try to use a different weapon.
