Munich-based label Plattenbank's new release brings together Shayan Pasha with two collaborators across three tracks: Juan Buitrago on Fuse On and Lava, Togni on Atom.
Shayan Pasha is an Iran-born DJ and producer, a fixture of the progressive house scene since 2010 and founder of his own imprint, Wander Nation Records, with support from Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. Juan Buitrago, from Colombia, balances warmth and precision, blending analog hardware with digital finesse, with support from Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo, John Digweed and Eelke Kleijn. Togni, from southern Brazil, works in melodic, hypnotic territory, with support from Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Ezequiel Arias.
The opener, Fuse On, is the first of two productions with Juan Buitrago: a slow build that trades a single drop for a series of rolling peaks and pull-backs.
Atom, the Togni collaboration, is the most compact of the three, driving from the start with one brief breakdown before returning to full pace.
Lava closes the release, the second Buitrago production, holding a sustained, driving energy that peaks late, built for the back half of a set.
Three collaborators, one dancefloor-focused release: BLZ136 is Plattenbank's next addition to the catalog.
