One of the most impressive concertos of Mexican composer Ernesto Cortázar conveys the spirit of Ludwig van Beethoven. Cortázar's work called "Beethoven's Silence" emits vibrations that describe the physical pain caused by the German composer's hearing that he lost over time, and how another composer felt it physically. It is known that Beethoven was deaf for the last 10 years of his life while composing, although it is debatable whether he was completely deaf. This feature of the famous composer is often legendary. Beethoven continued to compose even after he became deaf. To understand the reasons for this, it is necessary to commemorate him with his human and physical response, rather than a superior man fighting fate, as is often done in the history of music. Perhaps by focusing on Beethoven's silence and its possibilities, as Cortázar did. Because for Beethoven, music came not only from hearing, but also from the senses of touch and sight. In other words, it was passing through the body. When Beethoven lost his hearing, it can be said that the music shifted to a more physical and visual dimension.
