Mellbree Pure Copper Disks for Keeping Bird Baths Clean - Did They Work?

Promised one-year update on these Mellbree copper disks I tested back in July 2025. Available on Amazon at https://amzn.to/3RnJc9N. I'm trying out 99.9% pure copper 4" disks provided by Mellbree to use in my favorite huge old concrete bird bath to stop algae growth and make it easier to keep clean. Copper is an algicide, I remember when I was a kid we used to put copper sulfate in our farm pond to keep the algae down, but you don't want to put harsh chemicals in your bird bath. Pure copper is a safe way to keep bird baths cleaner. I'll follow up in about a month with an update. Also, Don't use Pennies in your bird baths as a copper source unless they are old ones. From1962 to 1982 Pennies were 95% copper and 5% zinc. Since 1982 Pennies are 97.5% zinc with just a thin copper plating (2.5%) and zinc is toxic. Copper disks are available on Amazon at: https://amzn.to/4fbZ3zV Commission may be Earned through affiliate links. 🔴 New HD videos uploaded weekly.
