Clark Griswold Pool Scene from National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation is one of the best scenes in the movie. I decided to be the first one on YouTube to recreate this scene with model Nicolette Scorsese, who plays Mary from the mall. Can’t see the line can ya, Russ? National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation follows Clark Griswold (Chevy Chase), an overly optimistic family man determined to create the perfect old-fashioned Christmas for his family. His wife, Ellen Griswold (Beverly D’Angelo), tries to keep the peace as Clark’s plans spiral into chaos. Their children, Rusty Griswold (Johnny Galecki) and Audrey Griswold (Juliette Lewis), watch in disbelief as their father’s holiday enthusiasm repeatedly backfires.
Trouble escalates when Clark decorates the house with an outrageous light display that causes neighborhood outrage and electrical mayhem. The situation worsens with the arrival of Clark’s eccentric cousin Eddie Johnson (Randy Quaid) and his sweet but odd wife Catherine (Miriam Flynn), who bring unexpected problems and heartfelt moments.
Clark’s Christmas spirit takes a hit when his miserly boss, Frank Shirley (Brian Doyle-Murray), withholds the expected holiday bonus. Pushed to his breaking point, Clark has an explosive meltdown that becomes one of the film’s most iconic scenes.
