Imagine your cell phone is at 10 percent battery, no charger, and the power's out, and your phone stays alive for 8 days. Now you understand Hanukkah! When we don’t have enough strength to face the onslaught of obstacles coming against us, enough supplies to last more than a day, or enough hope to rise above one more piece of bad news, God is there with us, ready to provide for our needs. He is with you, holding you up, ready to fill you with what you need to make it through. Nes Gadol Haya Sham! A great miracle happened there-God provided eight nights of lights with only one night of oil!
First Hanukkah Blessing: "Baruch atah, Adonai Eloheinu, Melech haolam, asher kid'shanu b'mitzvotav v'tsivanu l'hadlik ner shel Hanukkah"
Messianic Hanukkah Blessing Translated:
Blessed are You, LORD, our God, King of the universe, who has sanctified us with Your commandments and has given us Yeshua the Messiah, the Light of the World.
Blessed are You, LORD, our God, King of the universe, who has performed miracles for our ancestors in those days at this time.
