It’s been a long time, and thank you for all the messages asking where I have been! I’m on a break from playing the saxophone - I’m concentrating on my “first” instrument, the guitar. Work and home life is SO busy, and fitting in playing such a quiet instrument is much easier - especially at 6am. I’ll be back on the sax, I promise! In the meantime here is a little clip of me playing the guitar and testing another passion of mine - music tech. This was recorded entirely on the Ableton Move, a new bit of kit that has a great audio sampler. Only 4 tracks, but as you can see here, with sampling into drum racks it’s possible to produce something almost “finished”. Good for sampling the saxophone too, or indeed any instrument - these devices can be a great motivator and helps to keep things fresh.
