An audit in Mountain View, California exposed that Flock Safety's license plate camera network was configured to allow nationwide searches—enabling federal agencies like the ATF to access local vehicle tracking data without the city's authorization or knowledge.
Flock Safety told the city they didn't retain log records for that timeframe, leaving local officials completely in the dark about what vehicle data was actually pulled.
And worse, the ATF has already been busted using LPRs at gun shows. Did they use them to track Brian Malinowski when they killed him?
