Ten couples spent three days in a room in Austin with Kyle and Amber Cease. No stage, no audience, nobody performing. Just three days of the work most couples spend a lifetime avoiding.
The premise is simple. Most couples don't need more love. They need a safer place to put it. Two open hearted people learn, somewhere along the way, to protect instead of connect and to manage instead of meet, and then they spend years arguing about the symptoms of that instead of the thing itself.
So the weekend wasn't about communication tips or date night ideas. It was about what gets triggered in you when your partner does the thing, and why that's yours to look at rather than theirs to fix. It was about the difference between the self you built as a kid to stay safe and the one underneath it. About holding space instead of offering solutions. About polarity, devotion, and what it actually feels like to be the other person.
It was tender and it was honest, and because Kyle is who he is, it was a lot funnier than anyone expected.
