Next part of my Barbarian cosplay build from Diablo 4! 😎 After finishing the skirt, I had to add some armor on top. We used the original 3D model from the game, turned it into a paper pattern, and traced all the pieces onto 5mm EVA foam. I glued all the pieces together, attached some ornaments on top, and dremeled in all the texture afterwards. I wasn’t sure if this step would work out, but I was super happy with the final result! Afterwards, I primed the foam with Flexbond, and we painted everything with an airbrush and acrylic paints. My paint job looks a bit messy, but I think it actually looks quite close to the reference. The small pieces at the front were then attached with fabric glue, and the large belt piece is held up with plenty of Velcro. I would love to show you the skirt on my body, but it looks a bit awkward right now since so much is still missing. So, let’s create the knee and leg armor next! So excited to finally work on a massive armor project again! 😁
