Welcome to my midsummer kitchen. This time of year, the garden begins to give back. Today I'm bringing the harvest home—washing fresh produce, preserving herbs, making jam, and sharing a few of the quiet rhythms that make this season one of my favorites.
As a former community health nurse, I also share the simple produce washing routine I use at home to help keep fresh fruits and vegetables clean before they make their way to our table.
Homemaking isn't about perfection. Some vegetables have insect holes, some recipes take patience, and some days don't go exactly as planned. But that's part of the beauty of caring for a home through the seasons.
I hope this video encourages you to slow down, enjoy the work of your hands, and find joy in the simple rhythms of homemaking.
