Allama Iqbal’s Tribute to Imam Hussain | Dr. Moeen Nizami در معنی حریتِ اسلامیہ و سرِّ حادثۂ کربلا

Dr. Moeen Nizami discusses Allama Iqbal’s profound poetic tribute to Imam Hussain and the spiritual, moral, and civilizational meaning of Karbala in Iqbal’s thought.

The poem “در معنی حریتِ اسلامیہ و سرِّ حادثۂ کربلا” presents Karbala not merely as a historical tragedy, but as the eternal symbol of Islamic freedom, moral courage, sacrifice, and resistance against oppression. Through Iqbal’s powerful vision, Imam Hussain emerges as the guardian of truth, the embodiment of faith, and the reviver of the spirit of Islam.

Dr. Moeen Nizami explains how Iqbal connects the sacrifice of Imam Hussain with the deeper meaning of حریت freedom rooted in faith, selfhood, dignity, and submission to Allah alone. This discussion opens a meaningful window into Iqbal’s understanding of Karbala, sacrifice, and the living message of Imam Hussain for every age.
